2024 Fellows Class Kickoff with Welcome Reception, Retreat
Nashville Health Care Council launched its annual Fellows Program last week, welcoming 32 industry leaders spanning all segments of healthcare to its opening retreat in Sewanee, Tenn. Now in its 11th year, the Fellows Program was created to establish a nationwide network of emerging healthcare leaders committed to addressing the industry’s greatest challenges, improving care delivery and increasing value for the U.S. healthcare consumer.
Throughout the 2-day intensive, the Fellows cohort of healthcare system executives, clinicians, payors, investors, entrepreneurs and government officials engaged in a wide range of experiential learning opportunities. Program highlights included an exploration of the intersection of strategic negotiation and game theory with business strategist and claims consultant John Lowry, a fireside chat about transformational leadership amidst public health crisis with Brookdale President and CEO Cindy Baier, and a deep dive into both the history of the U.S. healthcare system and the top three challenges anticipated over the next 10 years with executive coach and investment strategist Michael Burcham.
The 2024 Fellows will engage in another eight immersive sessions this spring, concluding with a future-forward planning intensive to discern collective opportunities for achieving impact at scale. Stay tuned for more highlights from our Fellows Program following our conversation around Cost of Care on Feb. 9!
