The Nashville Health Care Council is pleased to announce the addition of two new staff members.
Kelly West will serve as director of talent development for the Council. In this role, she will lead the Council’s initiatives to attract, develop and retain highly informed talent to serve the local health care industry. These initiatives include the Council’s signature 900-member Leadership Health Care program for emerging leaders, along with creating new strategies and goals to foster university and student relationships. In her most recent role, West served as operations travel manager for Soles4Souls (S4S), a global social enterprise, where she managed all aspects of S4S’ international volunteer travel department. Previously, West spent four years working in direct patient care in trauma and surgical stepdown at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She received her bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Tennessee while serving as a Division I Lady Volunteer rowing athlete.
Jennifer Herron has joined the Council as event coordinator and will provide logistical support and administrative assistance for Council events. As event coordinator, Herron will manage logistics for talent development events and the Council executive dinner series. Previously, she was the lead event planner and vendor relations manager for Stunning Events and corporate trainer for BrickTops. A Boston native, Herron earned her bachelor’s degree from Westfield State University in Massachusetts.
“I am pleased to welcome Kelly and Jennifer to the Council team,” said Hayley Hovious, president of the Council. “We continue to nurture the exceptional talent within Nashville’s robust health care industry, and I am confident that both Kelly and Jennifer will help us succeed at those efforts.”
