On Tuesday, members of the Nashville Health Care Council were given an insider’sperspective of Healthbox and some of the start-up companies participating in the accelerator’s first program in Nashville.
Nina Nashif, founder and CEO of Healthbox, spoke about the mission of her organization as a platform to stimulate early-stage innovation. The program, which also has operations in Chicago, Boston, London and Jacksonville, serves to drive start-ups toward smart growth by providing resources that help them refine their business models and connect with potential investors and customers.
“We believe Nashville is the Silicon Valley of health care, and there is great potential here to build businesses that can advance health care in a meaningful way,” Nashif said.
Members also heard from two young companies who have been accepted to participate in Healthbox Nashville this fall: Clariture, a digital marketing and advertising platform that helps providers communicate the right message to the right person at the right time in order to drive patient volume and improve payer mix, and eClinic Healthcare, a communication platform allowing providers to use two-way video, voice and secure messaging to deliver consultative health care to their own patients within a Web-based and HIPAA compliant environment.
