LHC Members Learn About Important Mission of Project C.U.R.E. - NHCC

Last week Leadership Health Care (LHC) members had the opportunity to tour the Project C.U.R.E. Nashville warehouse as part of LHC’s Industry Tour series, providing on-the-ground views of industry and nonprofit services. Founded in Colorado in 1987 by Dr. James Jackson, Project C.U.R.E. (Commission on Urgent Relief and Equipment) is the largest provider of donated medical supplies and equipment to developing countries around the world.

The mission of Project C.U.R.E. is to identify, solicit, collect, sort and distribute medical supplies and services according to the imperative needs of the world. The Nashville distribution center, located near midtown, is one of five such Project C.U.R.E. distribution centers across the country.  These distribution centers donate, test, sort, inventory, package and deliver medical supplies and equipment directly to hospitals and clinics around the world.

During 2017 alone, Project C.U.R.E. delivered 180 shipments carrying $65,730,000 in medical supplies and equipment to 45 countries. And since its founding, Project C.U.R.E. has reached patients, families and children in 130 countries. To learn more about the Project C.U.R.E., click here.
