Leadership Health Care (LHC), an initiative of the Nashville Health Care Council to nurture the talent of Nashville’s emerging health care leaders, has announced its 2019 award winners in the categories of Health Care Emerging Leader of the Year, Ambassador of the Year and Supporting Organization of the Year. The awards were announced at LHC’s annual holiday and awards reception, attended by more than 200 LHC members.

Drake Jarman, SVP of sales at Stratasan was named the Health Care Emerging Leader of the Year. This award is given to an individual LHC member who demonstrates outstanding leadership, motivation and talent within the industry. A member of LHC since 2013, Jarman serves on the LHC Board and has shown consistent drive to become a leader in Nashville’s health care industry. With his extensive experience selling into health care systems, Jarman is leading the sales team and overseeing Stratasan’s development of their new state data aggregation business line. They have already signed up two states pre-launch and are taking the program nationwide to improve data collection and reporting for hospitals and health care providers.
Rachel Johnson, financial analyst at HCA Healthcare, received the Ambassador of the Year award. This award recognizes an individual member who has shown dedication and commitment to LHC and serves as a positive reflection of the organization’s mission and goals. A member of LHC since 2017, Johnson has been a proponent of LHC and leads the West End Member Coffee meetups. Johnson has made herself available to meet on an individual level demonstrating her willingness to actively encourage communication and knowledge exchange amongst members.
Bass, Berry & Sims was named the Supporting Organization of the Year for continually supporting LHC and the development of emerging leaders in health care through committed sponsorship of LHC’s Executive Briefing Series since 2016. Their commitment extends to regular representation at LHC events including the annual LHC Delegation.
