Fellows explore evolving health policy landscape leading up to D.C. Delegation
On the heels of foundational conversations laying the ground work for health equity and cost of care, Council Fellows took a deep dive into health policy in a 4-hour virtual session on March 8.
Session speakers repping perspectives from the pharmaceutical lobby, healthcare private equity, executive healthcare consulting and the federal government led Fellows in candid discussions around the intersection of policy, politics, access and innovation. Topics included current health policy focal points and future predictions, biopharmaceutical research as a vanguard of the clinical frontier, the promise and challenges of AI within the new workforce social contract and cross-continuum consolidation as a bellwether for future U.S. healthcare trends. Fellows also heard a high-level overview of legislative priorities and policy shift projections pending the outcome of the 2024 presidential election, in preparation for next month’s NHCC D.C. Delegation.
Our Council Fellows cohort returns to Nashville March 28-29 for a 2-day intensive on Healthcare Innovation.
