Nashville’s Hope Lodge Opens Doors to LHC Members

Last week Leadership Health Care (LHC) members had the opportunity to tour the American Cancer Society’s Memorial Foundation Hope Lodge as part of LHC’s Industry Tour series, providing on-the-ground views of industry and nonprofit services. Founded in 2004 in Nashville, the Hope Lodge offers a solution to cancer patients who must undergo treatment far from home. It provides housing free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis to cancer patients and a caregiver during their course of treatment.

The facility itself offers 41 guest rooms with a private bath and television, fully-equipped kitchens with a community dining room, a state-of-the-art exercise room, an enclosed backyard patio with grills and access to washers and dryers equipped with laundry supplies. Conveniently located off Charlotte Pike, the Hope Lodge is in close proximity to all local hospitals in Nashville and offers free daily transportation to and from treatment centers during daytime hours.

Besides providing patients with a place to stay, the Hope Lodge also provides patients with a supportive and safe environment, so they can focus on their wellness journey. While staying at Hope Lodge, guests have access to the American Cancer Society’s nationally acclaimed National Cancer Information Center and website, which connects cancer patients and caregivers with information on cancer, local resources, support groups and patient service programs. Industry tours are part of Leadership Health Care’s (LHC) regular programming for members. LHC also hosts executive briefings, lunch and learns, networking receptions and an annual delegation outside of Nashville. To learn more about LHC and upcoming events, visit www.leadershiphealthcare.com.
